Siouxland Community Health Center
Siouxland Community Health Center was founded in 1992 as a joint effort of local hospitals St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center (then Marian Health Center) to respond to the unmet health care needs among the underserved in the community.
Siouxland Medical Education Foundation
The Sioux City Family Medicine Residency Program is the only residency program in Northwest Iowa. It was established in cooperation with Sioux City’s two hospitals and community physicians in 1975. The residency consists of three years of postgraduate study with an approved class of six residents in each year. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and is affiliated with the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
